★ WELCOME TO IN THE MIDST OF LIFE WE ARE IN DEATH ★
IT DIDN'T BREAK WHEN I WORE IT OUT!! I went to my countries Ouran High School Host Club anime cafe (with a guy friend that ppl seem to think it was a date??? He's straight and I'm not a girl but what evs). Surprisingly it HELD up, the only minor problem was that the velcro wasn't working that much and I keep having to reattach it otherwise my shoes would slip right off, but that was already a problem in this one anyways.
Currently, I'm going to fill in the heel part of the shoe because I saw this AWESOME vid of a really cool artist that I admire who made LINOLEUM prints on the BOTTOM of her shoes so that when she walks on like puddles it has a cute little imprint on it and OH MY GOD I WANT THAT IN MY PIECE. (gurl if you see this I love you sm), so now I'm going onto another sidequest to cut this (second time in my life working with linoleum LMFAO [I'm one thousand percent going to cut myself accidentally while making this...])
SO. Starie here, just making some piece for my art portfolio for uni (istg I am so screwed, my crippled ass is making me become THE diversity student [asian, gay, trans, mentally disabled, physically disabled]), and ORIGINALLY I wanted to make a dress and like individually sew 200 buttons I found online in a pack of random shapes and sizes... and then the dress didn't arrive at the same time as the buttons and then I lost interest. Then I saw this like lovely lady on Instagram that turned her boots into LINOCUT PRINTS???? and it was awesome as shit (as it SHOULD BE) and then I just looked at my shoe closet....and there sat one of my old Taobao school shoes that I absolutely HATED cuz they were clunky as shite and like 90% pure plastic. Then one thing led to another and I just tackled my shoes like a prey being hunted.
I SWEAR LUCK WAS ON MY SIDE CUZ I ONLY RAN INTO TWO PROBLEMS (so far omg I'm gonna jinx it D: ), ONE: My fucking fingers kept getting glued shut by superglue because I was an IDIOT putting the glue on the buttons THEN sticking it onto the shoe until I gave up and put the glue on the shoes instead, and then stuck the buttons on because it was WAY easier. TWO: I RAN OUT OF SUPER GLUE. DEADASS RAN OUT. So now the bottom part on one of the shoes isn't like fully decked out in buttons and I need to wait till MONDAY where I can go back to school and raid the arts department (I'm not even an arts student man) and steal their superglue. (To our head of art [WE KNOW YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THIS BLOG WE GAVE YOU THE LINK] please please PLEASE tell me we have superglue or whether I have to hunt down the design team instead, please please please please please please please please)
Lmfao now I'm just hoping ts is dry tomorrow cuz I'm going to an OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB FAN CAFE in my country tomorrow (YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY), gonna test it out frfrrr and just hope it survives the day because my ass used acrylic paint cuz I couldn't find my fabric paint (I didn't even try looking man, it wouldn't have even worked), but we HOPE man.

Honestly the amount of times I have rewatched Titanic 1997 (directed by James Cameron) is INSANE. I fear I'm going back to my titanic hyperfixation with how much detail James Cameron put into this. Personally I would rate it a 4/5 because of the way that Cameron treated the actors in the film (that must have been so scary wtf) and how even though it was considered very accurate historically at that time, now its still considered outdated (theres literally a hallway that Jack and Rose walks through that doesn't actually exist lmfao), but there is honestly so much detail that is put into this film.
Like, the movie itself if you cut out the scenes without old rose, (and sadly without the deleted scenes) the film length is the EXACT length that it took for the Titanic to sank, and when you look at the clock at the end it says 2:20. ..and 2:20am is the EXACT TIME that the Titanic sank. James Cameron is like one of the directors that inspires me the most whenever I do a theatre piece with the amount of time and detail he puts into everything, from Fredrick Barrett cutting the falls away when Lifeboat number 13 was being sent down to prevent it from crushing Lifeboat number 15 (the one he was on) and capsizing both boats, to the fact that in a deleted scene, Officer Harold Lowe found Fang Lang and Fang Lang wasn't speaking in chinese but actually CANTONESE.
But honestly one thing that I was really sad about is that they had so much important information that was cut from deleted scenes, like the SS Californian sending Ice warning links multiple times to the RMS Titanic yet the Titanic refused to listen, To the deleted scene with the upturned Collapsible B where it held the well known survivors: Officer Lightroller (the controversial one that only let women and children into the boats), Gracie, Bride and Joughin. Like I wish that there was versions with all of the deleted scenes inside the movie itself and that they expanded more on the actual incident instead of Jack and Rose (to be honest I didn't like either LMAO, I watch it purely for the fact that I love the Titanic).
All in all, I fucking love the Titanic lol. I need more Titanic stuff, it's just the really old movie versions left >:3 (Titanic 666 sucked ass man)
